Beasts (Las Brutas) is inspired by true events. It tells the story of three sisters, Justa, Luciana and Lucia, who live in extreme isolation on the withering farmlands of the Andean foothills of Chile. As loneliness starts to devour them, the sisters are forced into committing suicide. They are found tied together, hanging from a rock with their dogs alongside them. The play examines the effects of isolation and fear on the human spirit.
